How to Make a Simple Bifold Wallet Pouch

  1. Apply Interfacing

Using an iron, fuse the medium-weight interfacing to the wrong side of one fabric rectangle.
  2. Sew the Outer Shape

Place the two fabric rectangles right sides together and clip or pin in place. Sew around the entire rectangle, leaving a small opening along one of the 14-inch sides for turning.
  3. Turn & Press

Turn the pouch right side out through the opening. Push out corners gently and press flat with an iron.
  4. Create the Bifold Shape

Fold each short end inward toward the center, leaving about a 1-inch gap between the folded edges. Press lightly to mark the fold lines, then unfold.
  5. Add Lace & Bias Tape to Ends

Place the lace and bias tape along each short end of the pouch. Sew in place, securing the embellishments neatly.
  6. Bind the Long Edges

Refold the wallet sides toward the center. Apply bias tape along each long edge of the wallet and sew, encasing the raw edges for a clean finish.
  7. Attach the Snap

Using your snap plier tool, attach the plastic snap to the inside center top and bottom of the wallet to complete the closure.

That’s it! You’ve just made a sweet little bifold wallet pouch that’s perfect for gift cards, cash, or tiny essentials—all in just minutes.
